Instalustraitorby Bodro Bilowo

Instalustraitor is the work of Bodro Bilowo, an illustrator and artist based in Jakarta, Indonesia. The practice runs on heavy ink line work flooded with digital colour — skulls, crowns, saints and mushroom people, drawn loud and drawn fast.

The work started in earnest in 2016, after leaving a full-time graphic design job. Since then it has moved along two tracks that feed each other: personal series built slowly over months, and editorial and commercial illustration that demands speed, clarity and collaboration.

The recurring theme is decay with the volume turned up — what rots, what refuses to stop performing while it rots, and who ends up wearing the crown afterwards. Rot Court (2025–present) is the most direct form of that question.
